Middletown, CT — Electrical Wholesalers and HZ Electric Supply are proud to announce the promotion of Chris Carrera to Executive Vice President. With over 32 years of experience in the electrical distribution industry, Chris’s journey from truck driver to executive leader is a powerful example of perseverance, vision, and hands-on leadership.

Chris began his career in 1993, entering the industry with a technical high school education in the electrical field and a strong work ethic. His early years were spent on the road making deliveries, but he quickly began moving up through the ranks—gaining experience across warehouse operations, counter and inside sales, outside sales, and branch management.

That broad, ground-up experience has become one of Chris’s greatest strengths. He brings a practical, customer-focused mindset to every challenge and leads with a deep understanding of what it takes to succeed at every level of the business.

As Executive Vice President, Chris now plays a key role in guiding the strategic growth of both Electrical Wholesalers and HZ Electric Supply. His leadership is marked by a strong focus on operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and team development—all of which continue to position the organization for long-term success in a rapidly evolving industry.
